Carly Ross, of USCRI Des Moines, Discusses the Travel Ban’s Impact on Refugees

“At the moment… [we continue] to prepare for the families that are traveling to the United States as we speak. We are talking with local family members to make sure that beds are made, groceries are purchased, and that they have a place to sleep when they get here. So we continue to do our work reuniting families with loved ones that have been waiting in many cases for years if not decades for their chance to come to the United States,” Said Carly Ross, Executive Director of the US Committee of Refugees and Immigrants in Des Moines.
