USCRI is proud to announce that Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program, USCRI’s field office, and Pacific Gateway Center, USCRI’s partner agency in Honolulu, have both been selected as recipients for USCIS’s Citizen and Immigration Grant.
Over the last seven years, USCIS’s Citizen and Immigration Grant Program has helped more than 156,000 lawful permanent residents prepare to apply for citizenship through more than 300 competitive grants to immigrant-serving organizations in 37 states and the District of Columbia. This year, the program has expanded to include non-profit, community-driven groups working to expand current citizenship instruction programs
Ten organizations received funding and represent a diverse group of non-profits, ranging from public libraries to mutual assistance programs. Each recipient has experience providing adult English as a second language courses.
