International Institute of Akron and Testa Cos. Plan 40 Townhouses for Refugees

Through a partnership with the USCRI partner agency the International Institute of Akron, the city of Akron, and the Ohio Housing Finance Agency, Testa Companies is planning on building 40 townhouses in North Hill. This will be the first new family housing development in North Akron in more than 20 years and it is the intention that these will be largely occupied by refugees.

“We are thrilled that this project is coming to fruition,” said International Institute Executive Director Elaine Woloshyn in a statement. “It brings excitement to the North Hill neighborhood and will give our clients and others in the community a chance to settle into beautiful, new apartments…”

Groundbreaking is set to start in Spring of 2018.
