President and CEO Lavinia Limon: refugees are already vetted to an extreme level

Topic /

USCRI President and CEO spoke with ABC Australia about the recent travel ban:

“Refugees are the most vetted people who enter the United States. It takes typically anywhere from 18 months to over two years to go through the vetting. Every security agency of the United States has to sign off on the entry of a refugee,” says Lavinia Limon.

“We all want secure borders, we don’t want to let in any terrorists, and that’s a good thing, but they didn’t have to do it like this. This is showbiz.”
