A Saratoga County supermarket is taking part in a unique program to aid refugees and immigrants. Healthy Living Market has partnered with Seventh Generation, a maker of eco-friendly cleaners to donate to the U.S. Committee for refugees and immigrants.

The goal is to provide cleaning supplies to local people who’ve been uprooted from their home countries.

“We want to make a difference. We think an organization like the USCRI is helpful in our communities to help people who are re-settling, who are coming into our country and it’s a helpful way to get them assimilated,” explained Richie Snyder with Healthy Living Market.

Shoppers at Healthy Living Market are being asked to buy pre-packed bags of cleaning supplies that will be delivered to those who need them.

The bags are selling for $10 or $20.
