USCRI announces renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Honduran Government

Lavinia Limón, president of USCRI, welcomed a delegation of the Government of Honduras on February 14, 2017 to renew the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with them, through the Secretary of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

The signing of the MOU reiterates USCRI’s commitment to providing technical assistance to consular officials on migration issues, comprehensive repatriation services and access to legal services for the community at large, provided through the Legal Services Unit.

The Honduran government delegation was represented by Mr. Luis Cordero- Charge d’Affaires, Newly appointed Ambassador to the U.S.- Mr. Marlon Tábora, Mr. Ricardo Estrada—Minister Counselor for Human Rights, and Mr. Guillermo Cadalso—Counselor for Legal Affairs.

USCRI has a long history of serving unaccompanied Central American children in the United States, and looks forward to continuing to work with the governments of the region.
