Topic / /

On December 5th USCRI Detroit welcomed three civic advocates from Thailand who were invited to the United States under the auspices of the Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program. Their program is arranged by World Learning and their visit to USCRI Detroit was arranged by Global Ties Detroit.  Tawfik Alazem, the director of USCRI Detroit, hosted the civic advocate team and their State Department liaisons in his office and shared his expertise and insights on refugee resettlement at USCRI Detroit. The discussion helped the visitors to form a better understanding of refugee resettlement in the Detroit area and gave them the opportunity to hear about challenges, opportunities, and successes.
