We have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities that could be a fit with your passions and availability. Please see our list of volunteer opportunities below to see if any are of interest.
We ask all our volunteers to attend our one-hour Volunteer Orientation before they start. The Orientation introduces people to the basics of volunteering with VRRP, gives an overview of our work and goals, and provides information about the refugee communities we serve. You do NOT need to RSVP, just view our calendar of orientations and join at your convenience.
OTHER WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
Hiring Global Talent:
See five reasons to hire our clients, and connect with our staff to learn more about how diversity can strengthen your employment team. Ahmed Alsaeedi can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or 802-338-4618 for additional information.
Becoming a Landlord:
We work closely with local landlords to ensure that new refugee families have a safe and sanitary new home upon arrival. We are committed to ensuring tenants and landlords know their rights and responsibilities, and provide support to our clients and landlords for successful partnerships. Please contact Anna Wageling at email@example.com or 802-338-4632 to learn more.
Cultural Competency Workshops:
For anyone looking to enhance their cultural competency, VRRP offers a two-hour Bridging Cultures workshop (separate from volunteer orientations). These are also a great opportunity to meet like-minded people in the community who believe in the strength of a multi-cultural Vermont. All are encouraged to attend!
