USCRI Central America Recognized by Salvadoran President

On November 29, Dr. Salvador Sánchez Cerén, President of the Republic of El Salvador recognized the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants’ with an award for USCRI’s commitment and support for the betterment of Salvadorian Youth through “ Jovenes Con Todo” Program.

USCRI was recognized for its work with youths in San Salvador, Chalatenango, and Usulután through the Livelihoods program. The Livelihoods program provides workforce development training to repatriated Salvadoran youth seeking to improve their economic conditions. The livelihoods program is part of USCRI’s comprehensive strategy in Central America to provide essential social and legal services to help uprooted youth to flourish.
