U.S COMMITTEE FOR REFUGEES AND IMMIGRANTS

“When I think of my immigrant grandparents and how much they endured to come to this country, I want to pay it forward for people who are even more desperate than they were.
-Christine Herrmann

“As of July this year, 319 million across 67 countries are suffering from acute hunger, with 1.9 million enduring catastrophic levels that verge on famine.

Hunger is just one of the reasons people come to the U.S. Others flee violence, war, forced labor and poverty.

For whatever the reason they come, I hope we can welcome immigrants and refugees to the land of opportunity we know. I can’t eat a strawberry without thinking of the migrant who picked it for me.

Today, I’m working with U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants where I’m raising funds to protect the rights and address the needs of persons in forced or voluntary migration worldwide and support their transition to a dignified life

I hope you will help me do this with a generous donation.”
