For over 110 years, the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) has worked to protect the rights and address the needs of persons in forced or voluntary migration worldwide and support their transition to a dignified life.
Rising to the challenges of unprecedented global displacement, today USCRI has expanded its work to include: serving unaccompanied migrant children with shelter care, social services, and legal representation; assisting survivors of human trafficking to rebuild their lives; producing cutting edge policy research and advocating both here and abroad for the rights of displaced people; and providing refugee medical and mental health services. USCRI continues its work in refugee resettlement as one of ten resettlement agencies selected by the U.S. Department of State to provide reception and placement services to refugees resettling in the U.S.
Our Mission, Vision and Values
Our goal is to create a world of possibilities for displaced people – where displacement may have defined their past but their future is reimagined with unlimited possibilities. We believe in open doors for refugees, asylees and other immigrants.
USCRI envisions a world where every individual forced to flee their home can rebuild their life with dignity and is welcomed with compassion and understanding.
Where We Work
USCRI has field offices across the U.S. and abroad. Expanding geographically allows us to reach more vulnerable populations and better address the complex challenges faced by displaced communities.
Ultimately, USCRI’s expansion is driven by a commitment to our mission and vision – to provide comprehensive support and advocacy for refugees and immigrants worldwide, enabling them to rebuild their lives with dignity and thrive in their new communities.
