TAKING THE LEAD IN MIGRATION PREVENTION: USCRI REACHES OVER 200 STUDENTS IN EL SALVADOR

August 11, 2025

In collaboration with the Directorate of Specialized Attention to Migrants and Their Families of the District of San Salvador East, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, USCRI staff carried out a day of simultaneous talks focused on the prevention and awareness of the dangers of irregular migration. These sessions were aimed at high school students from the National Institute of San Martín.

The objective was to raise awareness among young people about the serious risks associated with traveling through unsafe routes, while also promoting safe, informed, and orderly migration practices. Approximately 230 students participated in the sessions.

Through inter-institutional collaboration, we continue to support the youth of El Salvador in developing life plans within their own country—promoting not only their personal growth, but also the sustainable development of their communities of origin.
