USCRI EL SALVADOR JOINS MULTI-INSTITUTIONAL EFFORT TO DEVELOP HUMAN RIGHTS-BASED MIGRANT CARE PATHWAY

September 11, 2025

USCRI El Salvador participated in a working session to develop a care pathway for migrants, returnees, foreign nationals, and their families—an effort led by the Chalatenango Centro Migration Roundtable.

This initiative aims to provide key tools to strengthen local responses for these population groups by promoting inter-institutional coordination and respect for human rights.

Key institutions from state and municipal governments, along with civil society organizations, participated in the session. All stakeholders expressed their commitment to ensuring comprehensive, rights-based care for the target population.

This activity is part of USCRI’s broader commitment across Central America to support safe, dignified, and rights-based migration. Through coordinated regional efforts, USCRI continues to promote protection mechanisms, reintegration pathways, and institutional strengthening in communities impacted by migration.
