Congratulations to Monica on becoming a US Citizen!

March 11, 2021

Monica came to the United States as a young girl and obtained DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) when it became available. In February of 2016, she married her husband and they came to USCRI in March 2017 to petition for permanent residence status for Monica. That application was approved and Monica joyously received her green card five months later.

Monica applied for her citizenship in January of this year. She completed her naturalization interview and passed the 2020 civics test with flying colors! She was proudly sworn in right after her test and she is now a US Citizen.

She is so happy that she now has permanency in the US and can live peacefully with her husband and two little girls.
