Policy Brief: The Crisis in Sudan

In this week’s Policy and Advocacy Report, policy analyst Daniel Salazar examines the humanitarian and displacement crisis in Sudan, which has displaced roughly one million people since fighting broke out between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on April 15, 2023. The report analyzes the roots of the conflict, the latest displacement trends in Sudan and its neighboring countries, and policy considerations and recommendations to ensure protection for the various displaced populations affected by the crisis.
