Beneficiaries of the REDII program participate in the launch of the “Still Standing” campaign in El Salvador.

March 9, 2026

On Thursday, February 26, 2026, the regional campaign “Seguimos de Pie” (Still Standing) was successfully launched in San Salvador. The initiative aims to provide humanitarian assistance, workforce reintegration, and technical training to migrants and returnees in Mexico, El Salvador, and Honduras.

The event featured compelling testimonies, including that of Paola, a participant in USCRI’s REDII program. She shared her personal journey, describing the challenges of reintegration, her health struggles, and how the program has supported her in starting the reintegration process through training and skill development. Her story highlighted the human impact of these initiatives and the importance of sustained support.

The campaign also achieved its goal of positioning USCRI as a leading technical actor in reintegration, bringing together 36 high-level representatives and establishing strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure the sustainability of the REDII program.

Keynote presentations offered in-depth analysis, emphasizing that return programs are not merely humanitarian assistance but an investment in the country’s human capital. Presenters also highlighted the severe socioeconomic consequences that could result from pausing support in the current context.

We deeply appreciate the operational success of this launch, thanks to the Technical Team in El Salvador and the participation of Civil Society Organizations, the academic sector, private companies, and mass media, all of whom made this achievement possible. We also reaffirm our commitment to continue providing individual follow-up with participating companies to formalize employment opportunities and explore other areas of collaboration.
