A finales del mes de febrero dio inicio la colaboración entre USCRI e IRAP (International Refugee Assistance Project) con el objetivo de reforzar la investigación académica sobre la relación entre el cambio climático y la migración forzada. Mediante esta colaboración, se podrá recolectar datos cualitativos y cuantitativos sobre el impacto del cambio climático en los viajes migratorios en las Américas.
El equipo del U.S.-Mexico Border Program de USCRI LAC será responsable de esta implementación en los albergues de la ciudad de Tijuana, contribuyendo a la investigación liderada por IRAP hasta 2026.
